Testimonial Jan-Albert

“What this Trac shows is big class!

Brothers Jan Albert and Jan Wiebe Joldersma from Smilde, Drenthe, had never driven a Vredo before, but since they made the switch with their agricultural family business last year, they will never go back to another machine. “With this machine, we can truly distinguish ourselves in the market. What this Trac shows is great class,” enthusiastically explains Jan Albert Joldersma.

“Our family business has been operating since 1987. We primarily specialize in agricultural contracting, focusing on arable farming, but we also have a manure trading and transport division,” Jan Albert explains. “In the past we did manure handling with 2 tractors and separate tanks. Because the manure business declined a bit and one of our employees retired, we figured we might be able to get by with one self-propelled tractor. Because we mainly fertilize arable land, we were looking for a lightweight machine with a lot of power. One that could also transport large quantities of manure.”

De most powerfull self-propelled machine

Lightest self-propelled vehicle on the market
“In the summer of 2022, we started to explore. We like to do things slightly differently from our colleagues. That’s how we ended up at Vredo. Those machines weren’t here yet,” smiles Jan Albert. We immediately got a Trac on trial. That gave us confidence. We even put it on the weighbridge here, because we couldn’t believe that the weight that Vredo gave was correct. But it really was correct! 18 tons empty. It is the lightest self-propelled harvester available in the market. Since last year, the VT4556 has been our property.”

More future prospects
“We haven’t regretted that purchase for a moment. If you compare our Trac to the competition, no machine can compete with it. Just look at the footprint of the tires; the weight per axle. Then Vredo scores the best by far. On the front axle you have virtually the same weight as on the rear axle. That is reflected in soil conservation. Moreover, structural damage is a thing of the past. A Vredo Trac offers so much more future perspective than the competition. As contractors, we really make the difference with this self-propelled tractor!”

Above expectations
“Last September we were able to do our work in very wet conditions as normal. Really unimaginable how that machine moved over the soil,” continued Jan Albert. “Last spring we fertilized winter grain. Same success story. With the Trac you can spare the soil to the maximum.” Jan Albert also considers the suction arm at the front a great advantage: “We can now load anywhere quickly. That saves time and hassle. Yes, it really is beyond expectations what this machine can do.”

Saturday
“We were not familiar with Vredo, but when I look at the service they provide, many manufacturers within agricultural mechanization could learn a lot from them! A concrete example: last spring, on a Saturday morning, the starter motor seemed to falter a bit. Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., the Vredo warehouse employee was already at the yard. Less than half an hour later, everything had been checked and checked. Without that service we are nowhere as an agricultural contractor. That will only become more important in the future. I am convinced of that.”

Provide continuity
“We may only drive a self-propelled truck 8 weeks out of the year, but during that time we have to earn it! If there is a breakdown and then we are down for 3 days, it is disastrous for business. Now that we have a Trac from Vredo, we are helped immediately and offer continuity to our sides. No, no other machine for us anymore,” Jan Albert concludes firmly.
